In order to solve this mystery you will also need to immerse yourself in the science of storm tracking. With the help of the Canute storm chasing team that is just what you will do. To help gather the data, and keep the team safe, the chase team brings along trucks full of equipment, including the actual trucks themselves. A sampling of the hardware players can expect to come across are: weather balloons, doppler radar, wind speed measuring devices, computers, cameras and more. Pay attention to all of this because eventually you will be tested on it in a number of ways, not the least of which being sleuthing in game areas rife with tornado activity. Excellent game - lots of good puzzles August 26, 2010 dalze family We have ordered and plays most of the Nancy Drew Games. This one was very good. Lots of good puzzles, some took a lot of thought
Very fun! ...But not scary! August 19, 2010 Tia M. Shaffer (Marceline, MO) The game was wonderful. It had lots of mini puzzles and lots of things to do. Nothing was too tedious, and driving the car around wasnt as hard as Ive heard people complain about. I finished it in about 14hrs without cheats. The only complaint is that there is NOTHING scary about this one. Ive always found my favorite Nancy Drew games to be the ones that can make me jump. That being said I cant wait for the next one to come out! It looks like it will be good! Overall I think, if you are a Nancy Drew fan, you will love this game!
Ugh...another stinker from HI! August 15, 2010 Limey 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wow...between Trail of the Twister and Ransom of the Seven Ships, i'm really beginning to worry about my beloved Nancy Drew series!
This game was nothing but random puzzle after random puzzle! The tornados were there, but barely. It's almost like HerInteractive sat around and created all these tedious random puzzles, then just threw "Tornado Chasing" in as a bad attempt to connect the puzzles. I would like a plot next time please. This was such a lazy excuse for a ND game! I get that Nancy is an intern in the game, but come on HI! Doesn't mean the player wants to file and catch mice the entire game! Don't even get me started on the "driving"...not only do I HATE playing in the third person, they made the driving impossibly hard!! From the reviews i've seen 90% of people hate "driving" any sort of vehicle in the ND games, so why does HI insist on forcing us to do it! Please, HI, i'm begging you, no more cars, boats, golf carts, etc.! Just point and click maps please! It's so obvious that it's just a time waster/filler, to try and make it seem like your games aren't getting shorter and shorter.
I used to love the Nancy Drew games, it was like getting lost in a book, I didn't want to stop playing! I've played games 1-16, then took a few years off and just started playing again. Apparently I picked the wrong two, to get back to playing! I'm wondering if 17, 18, 19 & 21 are going to be just as bad as 20 & 22! The last two I have played, Ransom and Twister, have just been so awful, I could wait to finish them. Especially Ransom, which was sooooooo bad it took printing out a walkthrough, to get me to finish it. Please bring back the great games I used to love.
Nancy Drew Twister August 1, 2010 Lucille E. Hinch (Starke) Pretty good game, lot of driving around, not so bad once I figured out how the GPS worked. I like to resell the game after my daughter and I play it but there was a glitch and I had to go back to an earlier save and not take the same step again. None of the latest games meet my expectations after Castle Malloy. I hope to see more that play that well.

I love the Nancy Drew series and have followed it since the beginning. This game was entertaining, but didn't have the sense of urgency and danger that was found in many of the earlier games. The mini games were fun, but not overly challenging. The game only took me about 8 hours to play, which is significantly less than it should take for the [...] tag.
