Product Description
The Ear Force X11 is the perfect headset for XBOX gamers who want immersive game sound and XBOX Live communication at a great price. With an in-line amplifier and separate connectors for mic and line signals, the X11 also makes a great PC gaming headset.

Playing your favorite game with the X11 gives you a significant advantage because you can hear sound cues that are missed with speakers, such as the soft footsteps of an enemy sneaking up on you, or the click of a loading weapon in the distance. That means you'll react faster and take them out before they take you out, giving you a competitive edge that can make the difference between winning and losing. You'll also enjoy unsurpassed comfort during extended game play thanks to the large, deep-cushioned ear cups and rugged, lightweight design.

If you're serious about your XBOX or PC gaming, then get serious about the sound. Move up to the Ear Force X11 and become a better player while experiencing your games as they were meant to be heard.

Features:

  • Amplified stereo sound boosts game audio for added realism to your games.
  • Independent controls for game audio and chat volumes.
  • Eliminates game sounds picked up by chat mic.
  • Mic monitoring allows you to hear what you're saying.
  • Hear XBOX LIVE chat plus stereo game sound.
  • Heart-thumping bass boost adds sonic realism.
  • A USB connection provides power - no AC adapters or batteries necessary.
  • Also works with PC.

4 out of 5 stars Good, but has a little buzz.   September 3, 2010

I bought this because I game in the living room of my house and it bothers other people, so I always had to have the games turned way down low.

After playing some games with this, I can say it was a great purchase. I'm hearing sounds I didn't even know where in the games.

So far my only complaint is that if you have the game turned down low or if there's a quiet moment, there's a slight buzzing/fuzzy sound. You usually can't hear it, and even when you do it isn't that bad. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

I got this to replace my broken Turtle Beach X1 headset, and this is actually a slight improvement on the original. You still have separate volume controls for game sound and chat sound, but now they are in the same spot on the cord, and the cord that hooks up to controller for chat is much thicker. Sounds quality is great on both chat and game. Nothing bad to say about it.

4 out of 5 stars Solid Headset with One Big Flaw   September 3, 2010

I've used this headset fairly extensively to play both World of Warcraft and also various Xbox Live games. The microphone works great, and these headphones provide decent sound. You can independently control voice and game volume, which is very helpful, and this headset is pretty comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions.

Unfortunately this headset has a pretty big problem - there's always a quiet hissing in the background, no matter what you do. When the action is fast and furious, then you don't really notice at all - but when things slow down and get quiet, you will hear a fairly annoying hiss right in your ear. If this hiss didn't exist, then I would easily have given this headset 5 stars.

5 out of 5 stars Great Headset, Great Price   September 2, 2010

After reading the 1 star reviews I was a little hesitant before buying this headset. People had been complaining about a horrible screech that was ruining their gameplay. So I figured if the headset is as bad as these reviews says I can always return them. When I recieved the headset I was eager to try it out. I hooked everything up and turned on the xbox. I am relieved to say that there is NO SCREECHING like the bad reviews say. I dont know if maybe they recieved a bad headset, but this headset is fantastic.

The first turtle beaches i bought were the X1's and they were amazing, after getting them my gaming performance increased, able to hear everything in surround sound pretty much was amazing. But eventually they started to fall apart after a few years. Which then I bought these ones to fix that problem of not having turtle beaches for my xbox. First thing i noticed when i wore them was that the hard foam was now soft and barely noticeable around your ears which is a huge improvement from the x1's. Changing the game volume and chatter volume is easy now since they are both next to each other, so whether you want to chat to people and just chill in a game or competitively play you can easily change both volumes at the same time. The only problem I have with these is you can hear yourself breath as you talk though when you start playing it goes away. TIP: If you are considering getting an HDMI cord for your xbox and want to use these DO NOT BUY microsoft's HDMI cord bundle, instead do this--> [...], and just plug your composite audio cables into the jacks provided.
