Underrated! July 29, 2010 Alex 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't know why people, even FFVII fans, don't like this game. The story is okay, the characters are great, the gameplay is a lot of fun, the graphics are wonderful, and I felt that it continued the FFVII storyline in a fantastic direction.
The only place where this game doesn't succeed is the music. It's okay when all is said and done, but I can't help but compare it to the original RPG on the Playstation. Final Fantasy music composer Nobuo Uematsu (FFI - FFIX) did not work on this game, and it really suffers because of it. But if you can forgive that, then it's a monstrously fun game.
Fun July 29, 2010 Caveman Games really fun, you get your moneys worth... Can be difficult if you choose but not too bad. Storyline is enjoyable with a fair amount of boss battles. Graphics aren't the best but it's for PS2, what are you going to do?
LOVED IT June 30, 2010 Char 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I LOVED this game. I even played it through several times and got every item and every ending. It's not a very long game, but that wasn't an issue for me. Plus having Gackt sing "Redemption" at the end was very important to me because I was going through a really hard time and needed to hear that song.
I would love it they'd make more games around this (especially something more with Sephiroth).

I'd like to start by saying that I am a big fan of the Final Fantasy franchise. This game did not disappoint. The graphics were impressive, controls simple, and the fact that you could revisit an oldie but goodie RPG is fantastic. My favorite feature on the game is the fact that you can customize weapons. My complaint was that the story left you saying, what the heck is going on here? I'm sure that the writers are still trying to figure it out. Highly recommended anyhow.
